Fredrick Buehner-Wanner Company hammered aluminium covered bowl

This very stylish hammered aluminium bowl is made by the Fredrick Buehner-Wanner Company (BW), an American company. Made during the period 1930-1950 of hammered aluminium it has a wide bowl with a domed two tiered bead worked cover that has an attractive double ring handle with shell like finials. The bowl would have had an inner possibly glass or composite that has been lost. This could have been used for ice. The base is marked "BW Buenilum Made in the U.S.A." and has a tower/castle trademark.
